The Dynasty continues — Duck Dynasty that is! John Luke Robertson and his wife, Mary Kate welcomed the newest Robertson to the family on Monday, October 14th.
The couple took to Instagram Wednesday announcing his arrival.
“Hi baby John Shepherd!! He decided to surprise us 10 days early on October 14, 2019 and we are in loveeeee,” Mary Kate wrote with a photo of her son wearing a white sweater bearing his name.

“Welcome to the world, John Shepherd!” John Luke wrote on his Instagram post with a gorgeous black and white photo of the trio in their first moments of a family of three.
Mary Kate also shared a gallery of the new parents cuddling and swooning over baby John with the caption, “Robertson Family of 3!”
John Luke’s sister, Sadie Robertson, took to Instagram with her own birth story of baby John, which involved her and fiancé, Christian Huff, flying from Louisiana, where Mary Kate was unknowingly going into labor, to Atlanta. When they landed, they learned that baby John was on his way, back in Louisiana.
“We got word it would be at least 12 hours until the baby came,” Sadie wrote on Instagram. “We looked at each other with the same thought and next thing we knew we were laughing [hysterically], running to the car to head back to Louisiana. 7 hour drive back to where we just flew from.”
It was “kinda crazy,” she says, but getting to bring her mom and John Luke coffee at the hospital after they had slept there all night was “the greatest joy.”
“Getting to sit with my family waiting for the news that he is here was a moment we will both never forget!”
Of course, new grandma Kori Robertson also took to the ‘gram with the news, sharing pictures from the hospital and a video of all the Robertson siblings meeting baby John.
“Welcome to the world John Shepherd Robertson!” she wrote. “Thanks for coming a little early. You knew we couldn’t wait another day to meet you!! You’re mom and dad are amazing! You hit the jackpot with those two, and the rest of us, well we just can’t stop staring! We love you more than you can imagine. I am so proud to be your K-mama.”
Baby John, you are without a doubt so very loved. Congrats to John Luke and Mary Kate!
