Your Jaw Will Drop When You See What This Duck Dynasty Dad Did For His Daughter

The men of Duck Dynasty are universally and famously known for their beards—I’d wager to say they are an important part of their identity! “Dynasty” son, brother, and dad Jase Robertson has notoriously said on their TLC TV show, “There are two kinds of people without beards, children and women, I am neither.”

I think it’s safe to say Jase is really attached to his beard, literally and figuratively. It would take something REALLY big to make him shave it…something like a dad’s love for his darling daughter, and it’s clear Robertson has an abundance of that for Mia, who will be 14 next week. In fact, he loves her SO much, that he agreed to shave his beard if he could raise $100,000 for Mia’s charity, Mia Moo Fund. Mia, who was born with a cleft lip and palate, started the fund to benefit kids just like her with cleft lips and palates (while surgery to correct this birth defect is common in the U.S., many children worldwide suffer because they are not able to receive it in their countries.)

When Jase put out the challenge, a lot of caring people gave…and the result?? Over 100K for Mia’s charity and a VERY unrecognizable Jase Robertson!! Check it out:

What a difference! Yep, one of these is no longer like the others…

Yeah, I don’t think he’s going to have to worry about getting recognized at the grocery store anytime soon!

Jase’s wife Missy Robertson, who hasn’t seen her husband clean-shaven in 7 years, was OVERJOYED, as she posted on Instagram:

I guess you could say I’m a little happy. #ShaveJase #MyMan

I totally LOVE that Jase Robertson would do this for his little girl, and all the boys and girls like her who need some help with surgery. And also? I LOVE that they posted a time-lapse video of “the big shave” too!

Big props to Mia for starting this charity, and to her dad for supporting her in such a BIG way! I wanna know which one in the Duck Dynasty family is next?
