Arriving at Church vs. Getting READY For Church With Kids—This Is Hysterical Real-Talk TRUTH!

Every parent knows that getting up and getting yourself AND your kids half-decently dressed for church every Sunday morning is like running a flippin’ marathon. I personally find it VERY stressful, though I don’t remember it being stressful when I was a kid! (Maybe because we lived across the street from church, ha!) But someone I know very well, whose identity will remain anonymous to protect his family, says his parents always got in a HUGE fight every Sunday morning due to the stress.

And then they walked into church like everything was perfect, of course.

But it’s NOT perfect! None of us are! That’s why I love this video from Igniter Media which perfectly portrays the very real, real, struggle we all have to get our stuff together and get in the doors of church on Sunday morning. And the VERY last frame of this video? Well it’s a keepin’ it real truth we ALL need to know.

So next time you roll in to church with your skirt tucked in your pantyhose or your daughter in literally the ONLY clean scraps of clothing available — don’t feel bad. Because two pews back you know there’s someone in yesterday’s makeup whose kids aren’t wearing shoes.

Let’s keep it real, Christians! After all, GOD TOTALLY KNOWS what a mess you are—and He loves you more than you could ever imagine!
