If Men BreastfedDo you ever wonder what the world would be like if men had to breastfeed a baby? Would we still be dealing with noisy machinery, closets that double as lactation rooms, and a culture that views pumping as an inconvenience? https://nayahealth.com/ #IfMenBreastfed

Oh my goodness, mamas! I laughed SO HARD at this video! I worked and pumped breastmilk with my first two kids (I was staying at home full time by the time I had my third) in a VERY small office, and finding the time and space to pump breastmilk was often a big challenge. (Um, sorry, no one can microwave their lunches til I’m done pumping! Because the break room is the ONLY room with a door!) And though I am sure there is much humorous exaggeration in this video by Naya Health about what the working world would look like for breastfeeding parents if those parents were MEN, instead of women, some of it DOES ring pretty true.
I DO appreciate the good laugh, but I also appreciate the dose of advocacy for breastfeeding moms that this video brings to the forefront, and I hope the companies who employ these moms sit up and take notice! Taking care of your nursing employees so they can take care of their loved ones on their off hours will ALWAYS benefit the bottom line in the end.
Did you work and nurse at the same time? What were your biggest challenges? Do you think things would be different for breastfeeding parents if those parents were men instead of women?
