4th Grader Uses Back to School News Interview to Send a Hilarious Message to His Mom

It’s back to school time all over the country! I know some schools on the east coast don’t start until late June, but here in Ohio, my kids are already on their third week of school. I am loving the routine and schedule, and also all the fun stories that come with back to school.

Last week on what must’ve been a slow news day :), Fox 7 in Austin interviewed some elementary students outside a local school and caught one very excited and forthcoming 4th grader on his way into the building.  I DIED laughing as I watched this kid talk about starting school, friendships, future goals, and oh yeah—sending his mom a CLEAR lesson about what HE IS and IS NOT old enough to do.

This kiddo SEIZED the moment and it. is. HYSTERICAL! I am loving the raw honesty of a child, it’s so refreshing and in this case was also worth a few VERY good laughs that I really needed on a Monday morning. The whole thing is adorably funny, but when he tells his mom how it is at 50 seconds in. I LOST IT!

Hope your kids are doing GREAT getting used to being back in the classroom this year! As this little guys, says, GOOD LUCK!
