This Artist Honors Her Maternal Ancestors in a Truly Stunning Way

Have you ever wondered what life was like for your great-great grandmother? Artist and photographer Christine McConnell did, and then some. McConnell set out to put herself in her maternal ancestors’ shoes – or at least their dresses – with this stunning set of portraits she captured of herself and aged to look like portraits of her female forbears. This is truly one of the coolest things we’ve seen on the internet! Take a look at this amazing album the artist posted on her Facebook page. In all the photos, Christine’s ancestor is on the left and she is on the right.
