So far, the TLC 3-part special Jill & Jessa: Counting On has covered the sisters’ feelings on being sexually abused by their brother Josh and his adultery scandal, and their sister-in-law Anna’s pain at being cheated on. In the final episode that aired last night, viewers got a peek into Jessa Duggar Seewald’s L-O-N-G 48-hour labor and homebirth.
Though Jessa did safely deliver little Spurgeon Elliot Seewald at home (read about his name here), she had to be rushed to the hospital after his birth because she started hemorrhaging. Happily, the bleeding stopped, and after a blood transfusion, Jessa was able to quickly return home.
Now that Counting On is over, I’m wondering how TLC will next choose to feature the Duggars—since they cancelled 19 Kids and Counting after Josh’s scandals. It doesn’t seem to me that the public is sick of them yet! Even Duggar-haters still write up news stories about them, and if there’s no such thing as bad press, then I’d say they are definitely still of interest. I wish them well in whatever is next!
