Most 9-year-olds are concerned with having fun with friends, playing American Girl Dolls , and their weekend soccer games. But Morgan Franklin of Muskegon, Michigan has a lot more on her mind. Morgan has a very rare skin disease called linnear morphea, an inflammatory process that causes increased scarring and thickening of the skin. Morgan’s has not responded well to the normal treatment, so she has to travel Ann Arbor for three days each month for expensive treatments to keep the disease from affecting her bone growth and internal organs.
Wanting to do her part to help pay for her treatments, Morgan has turned into a little business woman! She started her own business selling rocks that she hand paints, called “Morgan’s Creations”—and business is booming! People are even starting to request special orders.
Morgan, you are an ingenious and courageous girl, and we LOVED your story! Your video truly inspired us and we wish you all the best as you fight this disease!
