This Bachelor Police Officer Adopted Two Siblings From Foster Care—and Now He’s Said “I Do”!

In 2014, CBS News “On the Road” did a touching segment on Pittsburgh Detective Jack Mook, a dyed-in-the-wool bachelor who became attached to two brothers who he worked with in a youth boxing program. When the brothers quit coming to the program, Mook went looking for them—and discovered they were in a very abusive foster home.

Using his influence as a detective, Mook became a foster parent and had the two boys placed safely with him. He went from bachelor to dad when he soon adopted the boys. CBS’ 2014 story brought thousands of people to tears, and it also brought thousands of emails from single women wanting to meet Mook!

But, as luck would have it, this confirmed bachelor and single dad DID meet a woman, but not via email—in a bar. This past summer, Mook traded in his bachelor ways for even MORE family new wife Mary and her three kids. Now he and his sons have an even bigger and happier family than they ever could have imagined, and it’s pretty darn BEAUTIFUL!

Congratulations to the Mooks!
