This Amazing Dad Makes His Baby Girl’s Eye Patch a Fun Work of Art Every Single Day

A chemical engineer turned stay-at-home dad is causing a big sensation on Instagram by decorating – and documenting – his 18-month-old daughter Layla’s corrective eye patches. Geof Grub told Today.com that Layla has to wear a corrective patch 2 hours a day because she was born with a cataract in one eye.

Grub said he thought the plain patches were depressing, so he decided to get out some markers and decorate them to make it fun – for him, at least. Layla can’t see he patches while she’s wearing them, and doesn’t have a favorite. We absolutely LOVE Grub’s creativity and that he’s documenting these cool designs on Instagram @laylaspatches. Way to make having to be a little “different” incredibly awesome for this darling little girl!

Here are some of our FAVORITE patches – make sure to check out @laylaspatches on Instagram to see this adorable kiddo and her talented dad on the go!
