Even though I have three kids myself, I must confess I don’t get super-excited sitting next to a baby on an airplane! For starters, I don’t love flying. Secondly, I love babies, but not when they’re crying…unless they’re my own. Still, what can you expect from babies? Crying is what they DO, so when you’re on a plane next to one, you just gotta give GRACE to that little pumpkin! That being said, recently one traveling tot’s parents recently had a genius idea about how to soothe their fellow passengers on baby’s first flight, and I LOVE it! They handed out goody bags to the folks seated around their little girl, Madeline, with a charming note that read:
My name is Madeline. I will be 1 on December 17th and this is my first flight. I’ll try to be on my best behavior, but I’d like to apologize in advance if I lose my cool, get scared or my ears hurt. My mom and dad packed you this goodies bag with a few treats. There are also earplugs in case my first public serenade isn’t as enjoyable to you as it is my mom and dad.
Have a great flight 🙂
I absolutely love this act of goodwill from the baby’s parents! Although unnecessary, I am sure it did a lot to possibly soothe some potential grumpy fellow passengers! Well done, Madeline and family!
