She’s the most decorated gymnast in the world, but that doesn’t phase the GOAT, Simone Biles, who showed yet another reason why she’s the greatest of all time on Tuesday when she congratulated the girls of Russian Olympic Committee after their gold medal win.
The 24-year-old, who was favored to win four or more gold medals at the Tokyo games, walked away with silver in the team event after she shocked the world by withdrawing from the competition, citing her mental health.
Despite the loss being the first for the U.S. women’s team in a world competition since 2010, Simone was the epitome of grace and sportsmanship in the face of defeat.
After the results were announced and the Russian team had secured their victory over the U.S., Simone was the first to congratulate members of the winning team, offering them hugs and praise for their olympic victory.
The 24-year-old looked genuinely happy for her opponents as she led the rest of team USA in congratulating the winners.
Twitter was a BIG fan of the class act:

The way Simone Biles led the other Americans to hug the ROC team in congratulations after their win, that’s big and really great sportsmanship. They are competitors but they’re also fellow gymnasts and friends🤗💞 #StrongerTogether #UnitedByEmotion #Olympics pic.twitter.com/jFkpKW6SI1
