The Gospel Is Only Good News If It Gets There In Time

What is crying out in your soul that desperately looks for an answer? Or have you stopped crying because it just hurts too much? Are you still searching and wondering if the answer will be around the next corner? Let me encourage you that you are not too late and the answer is right on time. “For God says, ‘At just the right time, I heard you. On the day of salvation, I helped you’.” God hears you. Those dried up tears and shouts at the ceiling, they don’t echo back unheard. At just the right time, God brings salvation, and that time is now. Today is the moment when you get to say I am ready. I’m ready to invite God in. I’m ready to participate in the story. I’m awake, but I want to be fully alive.

“Awake, sleeper,
And arise from the dead,
And Christ will shine on you.”

(Eph 5:13-14 NASB)

Janette McLaughlin
Janette grew up in a small town, where she and her husband, John, met in high school and dated each other through the college years. As soon as they had diplomas in hand, they were exchanging rings at the alter. Janette's career as an educator began as a teacher in an urban school district, while earning her credentials and MA in Education. She taught middle school English for seven years, and prayed earnestly to start a family. Motherhood seemed like an impossibility as she waited for God to move through her story. Until miraculously, she and her husband were blessed with the birth of their daughter. She now writes from a heart that invites God to author the story of her life. As a wife and mother of an only child, Janette feels called to serve other women who are in the waiting-middle part of their stories. She currently leads a small group in Bible study, teaches from God's word, and writes on the internet. In her spare time she nurtures her love of the arts and enjoys outdoor adventures with her family. She blogs at janettemclaughlin.com.
