For their part, the administration of the school in question has launched an internal investigation. Superintendent Nickalous Manning told LocalMephis.com in a statement:
“On August 29, 2018, it was discovered that 8th grade students at Hanley Middle School were given a document restricting bathroom and nurse visits that was inconsistent with our school’s actual policies, our mission, and our values.”
It certainly sounds like Mrs. White’s pettiness might be backfiring on her here. One can only hope that the school puts her handout in the garbage and that their blanket bathroom visits policy reigns in hers and every other classroom in the school.
What would you do if your child came home from school with a handout from a teacher like this? Would you contact the teacher first, or go straight to the administration?
