Michelle said she introduced herself and her husband to the young couple, and told them how happy and inspired they were watching them over lunch.
“We found out that they just got married a couple of months ago and that they are actually both working for the United States Army!”
Michelle says what touched her the most is that not only are they serving their country together, but they are also serving God together–and that’s the meaning behind their tattoos.
“I thank[ed] them for serving as a beautiful reminder of how God should always be the center of every relationship, and how selfless we should be together, serving God.”
“The couple was overwhelmed as they did not realize the impact of what their tattoos and their actions of faith depicted towards us. They even asked us if they could pray for us!”
Michelle said it was the first time in her and her husband’s life that a stranger had offered to pray for them.
“Inside that cafe, all four of us held each others hands, bowed our heads and this beautiful couple from the US army prayed for me and my husband! They prayed that we may always be blessed, and that we may continue to be a blessing to everyone else, and that may our love for God prosper and grow just as how God’s love and grace overflows in our lives. How amazing that moment is!”
Michelle says she knows that heart was never an accident.
“God brought us together there for a reason. God always has His special way of reminding us of His great love for us,” she said. “God is good, and God’s love is just amazing!”
She continued, “May God always bless and protect them, and may their lives always be a blessing too as they serve God and their country together. And together as one, Let us serve GOD!”
Michelle’s excitement is a beautiful testimony to the love she witnessed—both that of the couple and that of God. It’s so crazy to see the incredible ways God can use a “normal” lunch to show people who He is.
