The University of Kansas Health System’s endovascular neurosurgery director, Koji Ebersole, says the skewer’s removal Sunday “wasn’t easy.” Incredibly, Xavier is expected to make a full recovery.
On Facebook, Pastor O’Brien wrote that he believes that God saved Xavier’s life because He has a plan for him. He says:
“Xavier is a young man with a calling on his life. In the middle of the night before the surgery he had awoke and had begun to sing the song “reckless love”. This whole ordeal is proof of the ‘reckless love of God’.
I saw that love. Heaven met earth this weekend in Kansas City. I saw family united. I saw friends surrounding. I saw the collective cry of lament and and answered prayer. I believe in miracles. I hope you will to. All Glory to Jesus Christ. The God of miracles.”
I believe in miracles, too, and I believe Xavier Cunningham certainly experienced one! Praise God for this young boy and his continued life here on earth. I hope you will join me in praying for his full and speedy recovery!
