Austin defends his girls

And, so Austin turned to TikTok and responded to the “haters” who blasted his girls, their dresses of choice, and his parenting skills.

The video contains a few of the negative comments others made on Austin’s original Facebook post such as “I wouldn’t let them go anywhere dressed like that.” Parents and adults shared their opinions and how they would have done things differently. Unfortunately, there were also comments degrading Austin’s daughters. Many created heated discussions.

And, then Austin replied to these comments—and more.

“It’s your job to not raise a pervert with no self-control,” Austin responded. He also admitted that he would have chosen different outfits than the girls chose. “If it were up to me, it would be 24/7 snuggies.”

Yet again, the public responded—this time on TikTok. With more than 1 million views and 30,000 comments, Austin struck a nerve with parents around the country. Read more of what parents said.

“Those dresses were absolutely appropriate for homecoming! What is wrong with people?! Those people kids are prolly changing as soon as they leave.”

“They look great & age appropriate! I’m not gonna the lie – the older I get the more I see how many older women are simply just jealous of young women”

“Are the dresses a little short? Maybe. But they have everything “important” covered. I see nothing wrong w it. Let them be confident in their own skin”

“Well said!!! 🙌🙌🙌 I am mother of 2 daughters. They are absolutely beautiful!!!! keep parenting and raising your beautiful girls and standing up for yourself and them!!! supporting you 💯”

“Not gonna lie! Coming into this I was like, why would he let them!? But sitting back and hearing your very very VALID reasons! Now I’m on your side!”
