Being a Single Mom Is Hard. Trusting God Is Hard. Here’s How You Can Be Great at Both.

Resolutely.

Second Kings tells how Elisha’s servant panicked when an army surrounded their city. Elisha remained calm because he knew there was more to the situation than met the eye. He asked God to show his servant the truth: “So the Lord opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw, and behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha” (2 Kings 6:17 ESV).

The servant’s perspective changed when he understood that God’s power far surpassed the immediate threat.

The truth is that God is greater than anything a single parent faces. He will bring us through. He is at hand, right now, with us and our children.

Peace.
