In one snap, Garner can be seen crying on a plane, which is followed by a brief video of her asking through sobs, “how am I gonna make it?” And “what am I going to do?”
She ended the carousel with a photo of her sporting 2024 sunglasses with an all-too-relatable face that only a mom who’s feeling all the feels could have.
Fellow A-list moms who have been in her shoes flocked to the comments to offer support.
“Oh honey … I know,” Reese Witherspoon wrote. “You have done a great job , mama! I will be here for support and lots of hugs.”
Witherspoon’s kids have both flown the coop with her sending daughter Ava off to college in 2019, followed by her son three years later.
Gwyneth Paltrow, whose 20-year-old daughter Apple is in college, wrote, ““I’m sooooo with you,” followed by a heart emoji.
Pioneer Woman Ree Drummond added, “It’s a deep, searing pain/joy/grief/pride/mourning!!! Congratulations!”
Violet is the oldest of three kids Jennifer Garner shares with ex-husband Ben Affleck. The two split in 2015, but have been actively co-parenting their three kids Violet, 18, Seraphina, 15, and Samuel, 12, ever since.
In an appearance on Live with Kelly & Mark last fall, Garner shared that Violet was handling the college application process “like a champ.”
“I can see the stress — even though the excitement and stress go hand in hand. But she’s handling it like a champ and she’s totally in charge,” Garner told Kelly and Mark in November. “I’m not having to say, ‘Are you doing this, are you doing this?’ She’s a self-starter. And I’m just proud of her no matter what.”
Violet has been kept largely out of the spotlight throughout her childhood. There’s no news on what’s next for her, but we know one thing is for sure: Jennifer Garner will be cheering her on every step of the way.
