Mom Recreates Iconic ‘Toy Story’ Scene as Son Heads off to College

A Texas teen is melting hearts across the internet this week with a viral graduation photo that’s giving us all the feels.

Josiah Robles graduated from Somerset High School in San Antonio, Texas on May 28th. To commemorate the milestone, Josiah’s mom had the idea to recreate the iconic ’Toy Story 3’ scene in which, Andy leaves his favorite toys on the steps before heading off to college.

“About two years ago, my mom had seen a Facebook post of a kid doing the same sort of thing for the first day of kindergarten,” Josiah explained. “Since I was a huge ‘Toy Story’ fan from toddler age, we thought it would be a great idea for a graduation picture, considering that I would be going off to college just as Andy did in the movie.”

Josiah, who will be attending Baylor University in the fall, shared the photo on Twitter with a simple caption, “So long Somerset.” His words, echoing those of Woody, who says, “So long, partner,” as Andy drives away at the end of the movie.

In the photo, Buzz Lightyear and Woody have their hands raised waving goodbye as Josiah walks toward his future holding a Baylor flag.

The now-viral tweet has been liked over 18,000 times, and even caught the attention of his soon-to-be home.
