Daycare Writes Note on Baby’s Stomach Shaming Mom For Not Packing More Diapers

It’s not easy to leave your kids in the hands of another person all day long. As a mother, there’s a level of guilt that will never cease to pierce our hearts when it comes to balancing work and life.

It’s a struggle that Heather Chisum knows all too well.

The single mom from Sanibel, Florida works a full-time job to provide for her two young babes, Fin and Milo. She relies heavily on the care and nurturing of others so that she can financially provide for her kiddos.

But this week, Heather took to Facebook outraged after her children’s daycare sent her child home with a message for the young mom WRITTEN ON HIS CHEST.

“Am I right to be furious about this? Or am I over reacting? I really need your opinions guys, because I’m about to barge in this daycare tomorrow morning and have some words,” the 23-year-old wrote on Facebook Monday night.

Heather says that everyday, the daycare center fills out a memo with various information about the child’s day.

“It says what mood he was in for the day, what times they changed his diapers, and if he needs diapers or wipes.”

“I guess yesterday they wrote on his report that he needs diapers, and I failed to see that. I’m a single mom with a full time job and two very young children,” she continued, “SUE ME FOR NOT READING THE REPORT EVERY SINGLE DAY.”

Heather says that she sees several teachers at drop off and at pick up each and every day, but none of them said anything about her son needing diapers either.

“If I failed to see that he needs diapers a simple, ‘Hey Heather, your son needs diapers, maybe you missed the report,’ would have done the trick,” she says, “From any of the many teachers there I see daily.”

Unfortunately, that was not the way things were handled.

Instead, Heather found a note from the daycare WRITTEN ON HER SON WITH MARKER when she went to change his diaper yesterday afternoon.

The note, which was written across the entire front of the young boy’s body read: “Mom I’m out of diapers pls read my report.”
