Mama, It’s Normal.

Do you know what’s normal, Mama?

Having dishes in the sink and crumbs on the floor and wishing the kitchen would clean itself.

Having all you’ve ever prayed for but wondering if you’re still missing out.

Having time to spend with your family but still needing a moment all by yourself.

It’s normal.

It’s normal to have a messy house sometimes, and it’s normal to see nearly everything put in its place.

It’s normal to feel the happiest you’ve ever been then feel frustration or disappointment come next.

It’s normal to love your family with all you’ve got and still need a few minutes to sit alone in the car and just breathe.

Mama, it’s normal.

It’s normal to trust God is with us and still feel worry creep in.

It’s normal to be surrounded by little people all day and still feel the loneliest you’ve ever been.

It’s normal to want to hurry up the hard parts and still want to slow time down.

I get it, friend.

It’s normal to want help but not need any extra advice.

It’s normal to try your best and still not feel good enough.

It’s normal to have good days and to have bad ones, too.

I think we all need to know it’s normal.
