A Mama’s Jeremiah 29 Prayer For Our Graduates

Dear God, You know the plans you have for our graduates. Plans to prosper them and not to harm them. Plans to give them a hope and a future.

You. The One Who made them, the One Who formed them.

You know. You have complete understanding and insight. There is no ambiguity or confusion about your knowledge.

You know the plans. These are not guesses or wishes, but the certain intentions of Your pleasing and perfect will.

You know the plans You have. They are current, up-to-date, ongoing, present-tense plans.

You know the plans you have for them. Your plans are specific to our graduates. They are tailor-made to who they are, what they need, and how You’ve gifted them.

You have plans to prosper them. Your plans aren’t meant to just get our graduates by; they are meant to make them thrive.

Your plans are not to harm them. What you have in mind for our graduates comes out of Your heart of love for them.

You have plans to give them. Your plans are a gift; they are not something our graduates have to scrounge up for themselves.

You have plans to give them a hope. Of all the things your plans could give our graduates, the first thing Your plans to give them is hope, because that drives all other good things forward.

You have plans to give them a future. There is more to their lives than our graduates can see from where they’re standing now.

God, we know the plans You have for our graduates. So while they are waiting for You to do the next thing, help them to do the first thing: help them to know You.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11
