So, you see, May makes us contemplate more than just the crazy summer ahead. We have to think about the year that was — the year that slipped through our fingers in homework, extracurriculars, and emotions.
But, Mommas, I just want to remind you:
They won’t forget your smile or how you cheered.
They won’t forget that you fed them and wiped away their tears.
They won’t forget that you were right there with them…every day.
And in this last year of life, it wasn’t just your child who grew.
It was your heart, too.
