11-Year-Old Shoots Intruder Who Attacked His Pregnant Mom in Their Hotel Room

After a man broke into a hotel room in West Charlotte last week, an 11-year-old boy took it upon himself to defend his mom and her unborn baby from the violent intruder.

According to Charlotte police, the 11-year-old shot a man who was attacking his 27-year-old pregnant mother after breaking into their hotel room.

Police say that when the boy saw his pregnant mother being attacked, he shot the man. Authorities later confirmed the mother knew the man, and the incident was a case of domestic violence.

While there is no information as to why the boy had a gun, police have not filed any charges against the 11-year-old.

They filed several charges however against the intruder, including assault by strangulation, assault on an unborn child, and false imprisonment.

In a different case also out of North Carolina, a 12-year-old boy is credited with saving his 73-year-old grandma in 2021.

According to Goldsboro police, two masked people forced their way into the apartment of 73-year-old Linda Ellis around 12:43 a.m. on a Saturday. They demanded money and then shot Ellis.

A 12-year-old boy identified as Ellis’ grandson shot at the intruders, causing them to flee.

Police soon found 19-year-old Khalil Herring at a nearby intersection suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

In that similar case, police did not file charges against the young boy, whose efforts to defend his grandma saved her life, and also wound up being fatal.

14-Year-Old Fatally Shoots Intruder

And in another similar case, a young boy reportedly shot and killed a homeless man who broke into his Texas home in February.

According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, the 14-year-old boy was home alone while when a man wearing gloves and a backpack tried to break into his home. The incident took place around 6:55 a.m., and the boy was home alone after his parents had just left to take his younger siblings to school.

Police reports indicate that a man was knocking on doors early in the morning, suspected of breaking into residences. There were three calls of someone in the area who was kicking and pulling on doors, asking for money.

Ring doorbell footage from a neighbor captured the moment before the man walks up to a family’s home and allegedly tries to break in.
