3. TAKE REFUGE and find rest in his power, allowing him to fill you with peace.
He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and fortress, my God in whom I trust.”
4. When you want to stay complacent in your pain and suffering, STAND UP and draw strength from him.
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.
5. SEEK HIM and cry out for help, knowing he is faithful to listen to your plea.
Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble, and he delivered them from their distress.
6. TRUST that the hurt won’t last forever.
He brought them out of the darkness and the deepest gloom and broke away their chains.
7. BE HEALED AND RESTORED by the love and grace of the Lord.
In my anguish I cried to the Lord, and he answered by setting me free.
Friends, if for whatever reason you are suffering and hurting today, you are not alone. There is a God who loves you freely and openly accepts you JUST AS YOU ARE, who longs to provide you with the peace that comes from surrendering your burdens to him. Lay each and every hurt at his feet, knowing that the giver of life has come not to give you a spirit of fear, but to heal and restore.
If you are hurting, please tell someone. You don’t have to walk the hard road alone. My heart is heavy for those who need comfort from the storms of life. I would be honored to talk with you or to pray for you, so either leave a comment below, or contact me with a personal request using email. I’m already praying for those who will read this, but I’d love to call you by name when I bring your burdens before the throne of the Lord. May God bless your journey to healing and restoration!
