He’s after our kids, ya know. He’s the author of confusion, the father of lies and a lion who seeks to devour any goodness he can find.
And he’s set his sights on our children. He stalks and studies his prey.
His latest trick is actually the same old lie: Life would be better if you were someone else. He paints pictures of greener grass and juicier fruits. He disguises lies as truth. He promises freedom while creating chains.
He’s convincing- he tells them there is no truth. You can decide your truth. There are no absolutes. You make your own choices. There are no boundaries. Life is waiting, you only live once!
He’s advertising happiness and delivering anguish. He doesn’t come as the scary dragon we have all been warned about, he shows up looking like the answer to all of their problems.
And you and me- well we are busy with our own things! Scrolling socials, binging shows and working 60 hour weeks. We have our heads buried so deep in the sand that we don’t even see the enemy with our kids in the kitchen.
He’s not distracted, he’s laser focused on what he wants.
And what he wants is our kids- any bit of goodness that he can snuff out.
It’s time to take our kids back. It’s time to reclaim our families. It’s time to set our eyes on Jesus.
Because he’s after our kids. And only Jesus can stop him.
