Expert-Inspired Back-to-School Bento Box Lunch Ideas for Busy Moms

I mean, chicken salad spring rolls? Peanut butter and banana uncrustables? Sushi sammie roll-ups? My kids are never going to want to buy school lunch again!

The thing I love about these bento box lunches is that they’re so easy to mix and match, and use whatever you already have in your fridge. Out of strawberries this week? Swap for a banana. Don’t have time to make homemade sweet potato chips? Regular chips will do. Can’t send your kid to school with peanut butter? Sun butter is a tasty and healthy alternative.

In my quest to find some of the best and simplest bento box lunch ideas on the internet, I also came across this Tasty video by BuzzFeed.

If you don’t know, Tasty pretty much coined the new-age, social media craze of short, informative, cooking videos that you see as you scroll through your newsfeed. Y’all, they’re legitimately addictive. Unlike your typical Food Network show that lasts 30-60 minutes and features a celebrity chef extraordinaire, Tasty videos feature only hands. No voices, and only typography for the instructions.

That all to say, they make things easy to follow, thus winning them my second pick for fail-proof bento box lunch ideas.

Whether you take the time to cut cute shapes out of your lunchmeat, or simply toss it all together to make a DIY lunchable, you can’t go wrong with these simple and unique bento box lunch ideas that are TRULY a step above!

Don’t get stuck in a rut of packing brown paper sack lunches this year! Get your meal prep on and have lunches made for the whole week in a Jiffy. (Pun intended).
