Dustin’s daughter was born at just 26 weeks because his wife, Darcy Johannsen, developed pre-eclampsia. Dustin told Scary Mommy that Ivy spent four months in the NICU before being allowed to come home. HE said for their family, it “just made more sense for me to stay home with her for us.” Darcy is a clinical scientist and is now back at work while he cares for Ivy.
