But here’s some MORE truth: We pro-lifers do a great job of decrying abortion and extolling its evils, but we don’t do enough to prevent it. How about actually helping those who are at risk to have one? How about rallying around single moms or those who are pregnant with no family support or financial support? How about giving our time and money to organizations that do just that? Start LOCALLY. Donate time and money to your local crisis pregnancy center, or to local charities that provide the basics for families in need. Get involved with Safe Families and give parents a much-needed respite so they can get on their feet. Become a foster parent. Adopt.
Because, no, we don’t need a Disney Princess that has had an abortion.
But we DO need real, actual humans to keep standing up and saying that it’s wrong, while having compassion for the people who do choose it and taking ACTION to help those who are at risk. We need real, actual humans to stand alongside those who choose life by providing financial and emotional support. We need real real, actual humans to jump into adoption and foster care for those parents who bring life into the world but cannot parent or need parenting support.
That’s what we need.
So, put your money where your mouth is, pro-lifers. Let’s DO IT. Or shut up about it.
