8. COLOSSIANS 3:12-15 & EPHESIANS 4:32
“Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others. Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony. And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful.” Colossians 3:12-15
“…be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you.” Ephesians 4:32
Holy Spirit, help us be more intentional in clothing ourselves with mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, patience, forgiveness, love, and peace. Grow Your fruit in us and empower us to live with each other accordingly.
9. NUMBERS 6:24-26
“May the Lord bless you and protect you. May the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you. May the Lord show you his favor and give you his peace.” Numbers 6:24-26
Lord, bless us and protect us. Smile on us and be gracious to us. Show us Your favor and give us Your peace.
10. EPHESIANS 6:12
“For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.” Ephesians 6:12
Lord, may we always remember when we’re tempted to fight each other that what we’re actually fighting against is an enemy in a dark, unseen world. An enemy that wants nothing more than to divide and discourage us. Remind us we are not each other’s enemies but rather teammates in a spiritual war.
11. ISAIAH 32:18
“My people will live in safety, quietly at home. They will be at rest.” Isaiah 32:18
Lord, help us live in peace and safety. We rest in Your protection.
12. LUKE 6:45
“A good person produces good things from the treasury of a good heart, and an evil person produces evil things from the treasury of an evil heart. What you say flows from what is in your heart.” Luke 6:45
Lord, when harsh words and evil deeds occur in our home, it is a sign of unclean hearts. Purify our hearts so that out of their treasuries, we will produce good things.
13. PHILIPPIANS 4:19
“And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:19
Lord, we thank You that You supply all our needs according to the glorious riches that have been given to us in Jesus. When we are tempted to worry or grow discontent, remind us that we can trust You to give us everything we truly need.
14. JAMES 1:19-20
“You must all be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to get angry. Human anger does not produce the righteousness God desires.” James 1:19-20
Lord, help us to be quick to listen to each other, slow to speak, and slow to get angry. Help us strive to understand and empathize with each other before we attempt to explain or defend our own stance. Produce in us the righteousness You desire.
15. ROMANS 12:9-10 & 1 JOHN 3:18
“Don’t just pretend to love others. Really love them. Hate what is wrong. Hold tightly to what is good. Love each other with genuine affection, and take delight in honoring each other.” Romans 12:9-10
“Dear children, let’s not merely say that we love each other; let us show the truth by our actions.” 1 John 3:18
Lord, fill us with the active, sacrificial love of Jesus so we can show that love to each other, as well as those outside our home. Show us where we have loved superficially or conditionally. Lead us to love with genuine affection, honor, and practical action.
