Simply turn on Guided Access, and the toggle that turns on the Accessibility Shortcut. Then go to YouTube Kids, or wherever you’re playing a show for your child, and simply triple-click the Home button to activate a Guided Access Session. Select which features to turn off—Melissa and her husband turn off all of them—and then return to your child’s show. They can click/touch/tap away and the phone will remain locked on the selected app.

As several TikTok users pointed out in the comments, this feature has been available on iPhones for years. But based on how many fellow TikTokers didn’t even know it existed, this is one parenting hack that no new parent should have to live without.
A similar feature is also available for Android users called “Kids Mode.”
