Beloved YouTube sensation Ms. Rachel is leaping out of your screen and onto children’s books near you this fall with her debut picture book, “Ms. Rachel and the Special Surprise!: Encouraging Speech and Learning Through Play and Music.”
The third parent in every family, and toddler favorite Ms. Rachel, otherwise known as Rachel Griffin Accurso, took to Instagram Tuesday with the announcement.

“What’s in the box? What could it be? Do you want to take something out with me?” She excitedly sang one of her songs while unboxing her very first copy of the book.
After screaming with joy, she said, “Yay! I wrote a book! I’m so excited.”
The book, set to be released September 24th, is the first of a series of books that transform key lessons from Ms. Rachel’s YouTube channel into an engaging storybook for littles.
“It is truly a privilege to be able to teach and connect with children not just through YouTube but also through books and the enduring magic of storytime,” Accurso said in a press release.
Who is Ms. Rachel?
Ms. Rachel, is a New York City preschool teacher turned YouTube and TikTok star who creates educational videos for children. But more than that, her videos—and the intentionality behind them—are having a massive impact on kids all over the world.
Accurso began “Songs For Littles” after her son, Thomas, was diagnosed with a speech delay. His first word was at 2 years and 8 months old.
“I needed experts to help me,” she told NBC News. “I thought, ‘Wouldn’t it be great if there was a show that really encouraged language development and worked on these important milestones and was slow-paced and a real person and very interactive?’”
Teaming up with her Broadway composer husband Aron, She used her dual master’s degrees in early childhood development and music education to create and produce “Songs for Littles,” a YouTube Channel that now has more than 8.6 million subscribers and over billions of views.
