Devastated Mom’s Car Seat Photo Will Hit Home With Every Parent—and Her Message Can’t Be Ignored

Buckling your child into his or her car seat is second nature to a parent; after awhile it’s one of those mechanical, routine tasks you perform without really thinking about it. But for mom Sarah Walton, whose daughter Ellie, recently passed away after a several-year battle with brain cancer, the task became overwhelmingly filled with grief the last time she buckled her daughter in.

You see, Walton could not buckle Ellie in as she normally would. Her daughter was no longer here on earth. The last time she buckled Ellie in, she lovingly placed the box of Ellie’s cremated remains in her daughter’s car seat, then shared a heart-wrenching photo and statement on Facebook.
