I hate to say it but when I became a parent, I was surprised by how hard parenting is. I guess my parents just made it look very easy. I was naïve at 26, and I think I just expected every moment to be truly joyful. Although my sweet kids are well worth the lack of sleep, getting pooped on, peed on, barfed on, and all the other crazy things they put me through, I still think that being a mom should qualify us for some kind of special merit badge at least!
I’m so old that Twitter didn’t even exist when I became a mom and 2004. But if it had I definitely would’ve tweeted about my son puking in my mouth on my 27th birthday. Precious, precious memories.
Clearly these funny moms from Twitter feel the same. They let loose some of their finest parenting moments in mom tweets that will keep you laughing all day! Check out some of my favorites below from these mamas who know how to keep it real — and real funny.

Hey man, three-year-olds are notorious for cheating — he’s probably just throwing grandma under the bus!
Hands down my fave part of parenting is that I’m the only one in the house that knows where the garbage is. #momlife
