Champs’ hard work, and her support network’s help really paid off: she recently found out that she passed the Texas State bar exam and is now an attorney! As soon as she completes the licensing process, she will be ready to practice law in the state of Texas. Champs says when she found out she screamed “Thank you God!” at the top of her lungs, and when she told her kids, she says they burst out into a spontaneous dance party. A well-deserved celebration for this family, for sure!
The lesson Ieshia Champs says she has learned from her journey is one we would all do well to remember.
“If God can take a little girl like me who had nothing and put me in a position to where I’m graduating from a wonderful law school in the top 15 percent of my class Magna Cum Laude with five children, he can do anything for you,” she said.
